Michèle Montas interviews two residents of Cazale, Ruth Jeudi Eliazer and Charlestin Joseph Patrick, members of the Asosyasyon 27 Mas, on the commemoration of the thirtieth anniversary of the 1969 Cazale massacre. They describe the events leading up to the massacre, when the people of Cazale destroyed the office of the chef de section in 1966, and in 1969 took down Duvalier's red-and-black flag and raised the blue-and-red. In an unprecedented act, the peasants of Cazale (in particular Jérémie Eliazer, Lamarre St. Germain, and Nefort Victomé, among others) collaborated with Alix Lamaute and Roger Méhu, two young Haitian intellectuals and activists, to resist unfair taxes and the Macoutes' use of the Rivière Torcelle, leaving no water for irrigation. Approximately twenty-three people were killed during the massacre, women and girls raped, houses pillaged and burned down. The two guests, who were themselves children in 1969, discuss the aftermath of the massacre, growing up in a climate of constant fear and threats. They also discuss the present-day problems of Cazale, including roads, irrigation, schools, and other infrastructure.

Ils décrivent les évènements qui ont précédé le massacre: la destruction du bureau du chef de section par la population de Cazale en 1966, puis le remplacement en 1969 du drapeau rouge et noir de Duvalier par l'ancien bleu et rouge. Dans un acte sans précédent, les paysans de Cazale (Jérémie Eliazer, Lamarre Saint-Germain, et Nefort Victomé, entre autres) ont collaboré avec Alix Lamaute et Roger Méhu, deux jeunes intellectuels et militants haïtiens, pour résister aux impôts injustes et à l'exploitation de la Rivière Torcelle par les macoutes, qui ne laissait rien aux paysans pour irriger leurs terrains. Le massacre a fait à peu près vingt-trois morts, en plus des femmes et filles violées, et des maisons saccagées et incendiées. Les deux invités, enfants lors des évènements de 1969, racontent comment ils ont vécu après le massacre, grandissant dans une ambiance de crainte et de menaces. Ils discutent aussi des problèmes actuels d'infrasctructure tel que le manque de routes, d’écoles, et d’irrigation.
