Entelektyèl, powèt, ak ekriven Gérard Chenet pale avèk Konpè Filo sou Revolisyon 1946 la, lè Chenet ak lòt manm kolektivite etidyan maksis ki pibliye jounal etidyan an La Ruche, te mennen gwo manifestasyon etidyan kont Prezidan Lescot. Daprè Chenet, moman 1986 la lè Duvalier te fin tonbe pa menm jan ak Revolisyon 1946 lan – sa 1986 la pi byen òganize, yo sèvi avèk lang kreyòl la pou mas pèp la ka vrèman patisipe nan mouvman an (nan lane 1946, mouvman an te vrèman pou jèn entelektyèl avèk anpil edikasyon ki te konn pale fransè), epi an 1986 radyo te ka rive jwenn plis moun tou. Yo pale sou rechèch Chenet fè sou Vodou, wòl santral Vodou jwe nan sosyete ayisyen an, ak rapò pèsonèl li avèk Vodou a. Chenet pale sou manman l, yon fanm analfabèt ki soti andeyò, ki te fè yon gwo enpak sou lavi espirityèl pitit li. Li pale tou sou eksperyans li an egzil.
Scholar, poet and writer Gérard Chenet speaks with Konpè Filo about the Revolution of 1946, in which Chenet and other members of the Marxist student journal La Ruche led widespread student protests against President Lescot. According to Chenet, the 1986 fall of Duvalier differs from 1946 -- it is more organized, uses the Haitian Creole language to connect with the masses (unlike 1946, when the movement was largely limited to highly-educated, French-speaking members of the intellectual class), and radio is able to reach far more people. They discuss Chenet's research into Vodou and its centrality to Haitian society, and his own relationship with Vodou. Chenet speaks of his mother, who was a poor and illiterate woman who had a great spiritual impact on his life, and of his experiences of exile.
