Entèvyou Prezidan Jean-Claude Duvalier te akòde Radyo Kanada. Jounalis la poze kesyon sou liberasyon prizonye politik yo, ak si liberasyon sa a reprezante yon konsesyon Ayiti ap fè pou gouvènman Etazini. Duvalier bay garanti li, pa gen yon grenn prizonye politik an Ayiti ankò. Jounalis la poze l kesyon sou demokratizasyon, si "prezidan avi" ka mache ansanm avèk demokrasi. Duvalier reponn Ayiti poko pare pou yon demokrasi total. Li demanti ke Kò Leyopa ap vin ranplase Tonton Makout yo. Lè jounalis la mande l ki wòl manman l nan gouvènan peyi a, Duvalier di se yon konseye senp li ye. Jounalis la mande l si "revolisyon ekonomik" Duvalier te pwomèt la ap reyalize, kòm gen anpil mizè nan peyi a epi salè minimòm nan toujou trè ba. Jounalis la mande Duvalier koman li ka viv yon lavi si ekstravagan ak gaspiyè lè pi fò ayisyen nan mizè. Duvalier demanti se yon nonm rich li ye.
Interview with President Jean-Claude Duvalier on Radio Canada. The journalist asks about the release of political prisoners, and whether this represents a concession to the United States. Duvalier guarantees that there are no more political prisoners in Haiti. The journalist asks about democratization, and whether Duvalier's position as president-for-life is compatible with democratization, to which Duvalier replies that Haiti is not ready for full democracy. Duvalier denies that the Corps des Léopards are a replacement for the Tontons Macoutes. When asked about the role of his mother in governing the country, Duvalier says that she is simply a counselor. The journalist asks about Duvalier's promise of an "economic revolution" and whether this revolution has come to fruition, given the continued poverty of most of the country and low minimum wage. The journalist asks how Duvalier reconciles his own extravagant lifestyle with Haiti's poverty. Duvalier denies that he is a rich man.
