  • The Forum Démocratique program commemorates its first anniversary by revisiting its own archives. These include programs on the press and democracy (particularly the role of Radio Soleil in the anti-Duvalier resistance); contraband goods and domestic production; the formation of CONACOM; the question of dismantling Fort Dimanche; the 1987 constitutional referendum and constitution (particularly article 291, which forbid Macoutes from holding government positions); insecurity, violence, and human rights; the 1987 baccalaureate crisis in the education system; and the stakes of the 1987 elections under the CNG (including the question of demacoutization and the army).
