Rodolfo Mattarollo et Colin Granderson, deux responsables de la MICIVIH (Mission civile internationale Nations Unies-OEA en Haïti), présentent un bilan de la mission. Elle s’achève, après six ans de travail ayant suivi le retour à l’ordre constitutionnel en Haïti. Ils abordent la question des droits humains, de la réforme judiciaire et pénale, la création de la police nationale, de la préparation du procès de Raboteau, et des obstacles dans la lutte contre l’impunité dans un pays où la plupart des abus ne sont pas documentés. Pour Mattarollo et Granderson, c’était un honneur et un privilège de participer à la MICIVIH. Interview de Jean Dominique.
Rodolfo Mattarollo and Colin Granderson of the joint UN-OAS Mission Civile Internationale en Haïti give their assessment of MICIVIH as the mission's mandate comes to an end after six years of work following the return of constitutional order. They discuss human rights, judicial and penal reform, the creation of the Police Nationale d'Haïti, preparations for the Raboteau trial, and the difficulty of fighting impunity in a country where so many abuses go undocumented. For Mattarollo and Granderson, participating in MICIVIH was an honor and a privilege. Interview Jean Dominique.
