Ils discutent de la tension existant entre les secteurs public et privé (surtout parce que des membres importants du secteur privé, comme Olivier Nadal, le président de la Chambre de commerce de Port-au-Prince, prennent position contre Lavalas). Ils parlent aussi de la production du sucre et du problème du clairin frelaté (éthanol) qui envahit le marché haïtien. D’après Prophète, le secteur privé essaie d’assumer un nouveau rôle dans la société haïtienne. Il explique que l’État ne s’occupe pas des infrastructures de la ville du Cap-Haitien; il déclare que la plupart des membres du secteur privé ne sont pas riches. They discuss the tension between the public sector and the private sector (especially as prominent members of the private sector, such as president of the President of the Chamber of Congress of Port-au-Prince Olivier Nadal, call for Lavalas to fall). They also discuss domestic sugar production and the problem of counterfeit clairin infiltrating the Haitian market -- Dominique asks Prophète how he would protect domestic production and the safety of consumers. According to Prophète, the private sector is trying to assume a new role in Haitian society. He describes how the state has neglected infrastructural problems in Cap-Haïtien, and says that most members of the Haitian private sector are not actually all that wealthy. Dominique asks if Prophète considers peasant farmers and the informal sector to be part of the private sector.
