Jean Dominique entèvyouve Jean Généus, ki se Minis Ayisyen k ap Viv Lòt Bò Dlo, sou kesyon Semèn Dyaspora, ki te òganize spektak, echanj kiltirèl, ak brase-lide avèk ayisyen ak desandan ayisyen k ap viv Okanada, nan Kiba, Ozetazini, nan Dominikani, ak lòt kote. Nan anpil kominote dyaspora, gen asosyasyon rejyonal (kote moun ki soti nan yon sètèn zòn Ayiti mete tèt ansanm pou ede rejyon kote yo soti a). Généus analize koman asosyasyon rejyonal sila yo ta kapab fè travay yon bann ONG etranje yo ap fè an Ayiti. Généus ak Dominique pale tou sou enpak ekonomik dyaspora ayisyen an, pa egzanp nan touris, envestisman, epi lajan yo voye an Ayiti soti lòt bò, epi sou koman dyaspora a ka kontribye a devlopman demokrasi an Ayiti.
Jean Dominique interviews Jean Généus, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, about Diaspora Week, which featured performances, cultural exchanges, and exchanges of ideas with Haitians and people of Haitian descent living in Canada, Cuba, the United States, the Dominican Republic, and elsewhere. In many of these diaspora communities, there are regional associations (where people from a particular region of Haiti come together to help the region from which they hail). Généus analyzes ways in which these regional associations could do some of the work currently undertaken by foreign NGOs in Haiti. Généus and Dominique also discuss the economic impact of the Haitian diaspora, including tourism, investment and remittances, and the ways in which the diaspora can contribute to the development of democracy in Haiti.
