  • Minister of Finance Fred Joseph discusses the obstacles the Ministère de l'Économie et des Finances faces, and the connections between Haiti's economy and other systems, such as infrastructure. He discusses in particular the depreciation of the Haitian gourde, the challenges of attracting foreign investors to Haiti to create industrial parks and employment opportunities, salaries for civil servants, international aid, the use of the state budget for roads and other projects, and the importance of taxation for state revenues.

  • Le ministre des Finances, Fred Joseph, parle des obstacles qu’affronte le ministère de l’Économie et des Finances, et sur les connections entre l’économie d’Haïti et d’autres systèmes, par exemple les infrastructures. Il parle surtout de la décote de la gourde, de ce qui empêche les investisseurs étrangers de venir investir en Haïti, construire des parcs industriels et créer des emplois. Il parle des salaires pour les employés de la fonction publique, de l’aide internationale, de l’utilisation du budget de l’État pour bâtir des routes et réaliser d’autres projets, et enfin de l’importance des taxes pour augmenter les recettes de l’État.
