  • Stéphan Jean-Pierre, business manager of the Haitian Bleu coffee project, discusses the project with Jean Dominique. They discuss the production process, coffee growers' assocations in the Sud-Est, Nord-Est, and Grand'Anse that have joined (or seek to join) the FACN in order to participate in the Haitian Bleu program, their funding through the Bureau de crédit agricole (BCA), and efforts to find additional funding abroad. Jean-Pierre also describes the experience of traveling abroad with Haitian coffee producers, who strongly believe in the quality of their product. According to Jean-Pierre, this project will liberate coffee farmers from exploitative speculators, and motivate them to protect the environment.
