Michael Azefort, representative of the World Bank in Haiti, discusses projects financed by the World Bank in Haiti, particularly in the domains of infrastructure and rural development. These projects include road construction (particularly the road between Saint-Marc and Gonaïves), agriculture, education reform, housing, and environmental protection. Azefort also discusses the World Bank's relationship with Haitian government institutions, including FAES, and explains why the World Bank has suspended funding to Haiti until the resolution of the parliamentary crisis.
Michael Azefort, représentant de la Banque Mondiale en Haïti, discute avec Jean Dominique des projets financés par la banque, dans les domaines des infrastructures et du développement rural. Ces projets comprennent la construction de routes (surtout la route Saint-Marc/Gonaïves), l’agriculture, la réforme éducative, le logement et la protection de l’environnement. Azefort parle aussi du rapport entre la Banque Mondiale et les instances de l’État haïtien, surtout le FAES, et il explique pourquoi la Banque Mondiale n’a pas encore débloqué le financement pour Haïti, attendant la résolution de la crise parlementaire.
