Jean Dominique rencontre le ministre de la Justice, Camille Leblanc, pour parler du nouveau plan d’action du ministère pour rendre la justice plus accessible à la majorité de la population haïtienne. Ils discutent aussi de la corruption au sein de l’appareil d’État (par exemple la participation de juges au trafic de drogue dans le Sud-est), de la justice pour les victimes du coup d’État, de la préparation du procès de Raboteau, du dossier du massacre de Carrefour-Feuilles, et d’autres incidents de violence policière, et enfin de la préparation des élections de 2000.
Jean Dominique interviews Minister of Justice Camille Leblanc about the ministry's new action plan to make the justice system more accessible to the majority of Haitians. They also discuss corruption in the justice system (including judges who participate in the drug trade, especially in the Sud-Est department), justice for victims of the coup d'état (particularly preparations for the the Raboteau trial), the case of the Carrefour-Feuilles massacre and other instances of police brutality (including police violence against journalists during a Lavalas demonstration on the Champ-de-Mars), and preparations for the 2000 elections.
