  • After a demonstration in which Fanmi Lavalas partisans reportedly threw rocks and bottles of urine, Father Edner Devalcin speaks to Jean Dominique about the changing face of Fanmi Lavalas: increasing violence, corruption and embezzlement, Macoutes, junta supporters and other criminals infiltrating Lavalas. Devalcin maintains that Jean-Bertrand Aristide cannot personally control all of his followers and all of these factors. Dominique describes Aristide as a stubborn and uncompromising man. He cites the example of Mélius Hyppolite, a candidate from Chansolme in the Nord-Ouest -- a former Aristide ally who developed disagreements with Aristide, which caused Aristide to declare "those who are not with me are against me." Dominique also cites Aristide's enmity with Father Joachim Samedi in Jérémie, and Fanmi Lavalas's apparent alliance with Olivier Nadal and Bobby Wawa. Dominique says that while he himself is Lavalas, he is not a member of Fanmi Lavalas because he disagrees with these methods.

  • Après une manifestation lors de laquelle les partisans de Fanmi Lavalas sont accusés d'avoir lancé des pierres et des bouteilles d'urine, le père Edner Devalcin s'entretient avec Jean Dominique à propos du changement de visage du parti : de plus en plus de violence, de corruption et de détournement d'argent, ainsi que l'infiltration par des criminels comme des macoutes et des pro-junte. Devalcin maintient que Jean-Bertrand Aristide ne peut pas contrôler chacun de ses supporters ni chaque facteur. Dominique, lui, décrit Aristide comme un homme entêté et intransigeant. Dominique cite aussi l'animosité d'Aristide envers le père Joachim Samedi à Jérémie et l'apparente alliance entre Fanmi Lavalas, Olivier Nadal et Bobby Wawa. Dominique déclare que même si il se considère comme un membre de Lavalas, il ne fait pas partie de Fanmi Lavalas parce qu'il s'oppose à leurs méthodes.
