  • Jean Dominique rencontre Renan Pierre, le nouveau directeur général de la Confédération nationale des enseignants haïtiens (CNEH). Ils discutent de la grève des enseignants, des rapports entre la CNEH et les autres syndicats d’enseignants (surtout l’Union nationale des normaliens haïtiens (UNOH) dirigée par Josué Mérilien), entre la CNEH et le ministère de l’éducation. Ils parlent aussi des problèmes du système d’éducation (par exemple l’apprentissage « par cœur »), des efforts pour doter les enseignants d’une assurance médicale, et enfin du rôle et des objectifs d’un syndicat d’enseignants.

They also discuss problems with the education system (including the tendency to make students memorize by heart), efforts to provide teachers with health insurance, and the role and goals of teachers' unions in general.
