Many parliamentarians denounce this, claiming that Préval has "dissolved" parliament, but Casséus disagrees. Casséus and Dominique examine the deeper roots of the division, destabilization, and disenchantment that characterize the current Haitian political crisis, particularly efforts to block and undermine the agrarian reform project. According to Casséus, the Lavalas movement and organisations populaires have been infiltrated by elements that seek to undermine democracy.
