  • Chavannes Jean-Baptiste of the Mouvman Peyizan Papay speaks with Jean Dominique about a festival MPP is organizing, which seeks to valorize Haitian national culture and traditions. There will be traditional Haitian cuisine (cooked with natural spices, not Maggi), dance and music, games and stories, handicrafts and clothing, traditional medicine, and so on. This festival is not apolitical: Jean-Baptiste emphasizes the negative effects of the neoliberal agenda on Haitian national production.

Il y aura de la cuisine traditionnelle (préparée avec de vraies épices naturelles et non du Maggi), il y aura aussi de la danse, de la musique, des jeux et des contes, de l’artisanat et de la couture, de la médecine traditionnelle, etc.… Le festival n’est pas apolitique : Jean-Baptiste met l’accent sur les effets négatifs du plan néolibéral qui détruit la production nationale d’Haïti.
