Jean Dominique entèvyouve Ericq Pierre, ki se reprezantan Ayiti nan Bank Entè-Ameriken Devlopman (BID). Pierre dekri sis akò sou prè lajan k ap negosye ant BID la ak palman ayisyen. Blòk anti-neyoliberal la an patikilye pa dakò ak sètèn aspè prè sila yo. Kesyon an vin deplizanpli politize, epi gen moun ki di palman ap kenbe lajan sa a an otaj.
Jean Dominique interviews Ericq Pierre, Haiti's representative to the Inter-American Development Bank. Pierre describes six loan agreements that are being negotiated between the IADB and Haitian parliament. These loans would fund projects for decentralization, credit for small and medium-sized businesses, secondary roads, health care, potable water and sanitation. The loans are not modifiable, and it is now up to parliament to ratify the agreements. The anti-neoliberal bloc in particular is opposed to certain aspects of these loans. The issue is becoming increasingly politicized, with some people claiming that parliament is holding the money hostage.
