Fernández Taranco explique que le développement durable n’est pas nécessairement lié à la croissance économique d’un pays. Les disparités sont un immense problème à travers le monde; la misère est une question de distribution des richesses. Ils discutent aussi du rapport entre développement et droits des femmes; encore une fois, la disparité entre hommes et femmes n’est pas nécessairement lié au pouvoir économique d’un pays.

Fernández Taranco explains that sustainable development does not always correlate with a country's economic growth. Global wealth disparity remains a huge problem -- poverty is largely a question of wealth distribution. They also discuss the relationship between development and women's rights -- again, the disparity between men and women does not necessarily correlate with a country's economic power.
