Lovinsky Pierre-Antoine ak Jean Dominique pale sou pwogram Fondasyon 30 Septanm pou komemore 7yèm anivèsè koudeta 1991 lan, ak defi ki genyen nan chèche jistis pou viktim yo.
Lovinsky Pierre-Antoine and Jean Dominique discuss Fondation 30 Septembre's plans to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the 1991 coup d'état, and the challenges of seeking justice for the victims. There are many grassroots victims' rights groups nowadays, some of which are doing good work, but others of which are just in it in hopes of receiving reparations. Impunity still reigns: perpetrators of violence during the coup years have not been tried, so they continue to threaten the victims; the US has never returned the FRAPH documents the CIA seized in 1994, which feeds this impunity; and the conservative US organization the International Republican Institute (IRI) supports the participation of Roger Lafontant's URN party and Prosper Avril's CREDO party in elections. Pierre-Antoine and Dominique also discuss the class dimensions of the post-coup d'état search for justice (in Haiti, unlike in Argentina in the aftermath of the Dirty War, it is the poor who are seeking justice), and the difference between justice and vengeance.
