Secretary of State of Tourism Maryse Pénette and two members of her cabinet, Joseph Lamothe and Jean-Max Bellerive, discuss the effects of the recent accord between Haiti and the Dominican Republic on Haiti's tourism industry. They also discuss cruise ships and the infrastructure (especially roads, such as the Jacmel-Marigot road) that will be needed to have a robust tourism industry. Pénette emphasizes the importance of cooperation with local elected officials, and on the problems they have faced in turning Saut-d'Eau into a tourist destination.
La secrétaire d’état au tourisme, Maryse Pénette, et deux membres de son cabinet, Joseph Lamothe et Jean-Max Bellerive, parlent des effets, sur l’industrie du tourisme haïtien, du récent accord signé par Haïti et la République Dominicaine. Ils parlent aussi des bateaux de croisière, des besoins du pays en infrastructures (surtout des routes, comme la route Jacmel-Marigot) pour que se développe une industrie touristique solide. Pénette met l’accent sur l’importance de la collaboration avec les élus locaux, et des problèmes auxquels ils font face pour que Saut-d’Eau deviennent une destination touristique.
