Jean Dominique entèvyouve Pierre-Marie Boisson ak Claude Pierre-Louis, ki se de responsab Gwoup Sogebank, ki kòmanse ap travay sou domèn lojman avèk kreyasyon SOGEBEL (Société Générale Haïtienne de Banque d'Épargne et de Logement, S.A.). Yo pale pwoblèm lojman nan Pòtoprens, pa egzanp pwoblèm skwaterizasyon. Pami lòt kesyon, Dominique mande kisa sa vle di lè sektè prive a kòmanse pran chaj sèvis piblik tankou lojman, pandan ke Ayiti deplizanpli adopte yon ajanda neyoliberal. Yo pale tou kesyon kredi -- kòm Sogebank ap fouye kò l nan lojman, ki li menm makònen avèk lòt pwoblè sosyal tankou chomaj, kisa Gwoup Sogebank lan ap fè pou kore kreyasyon anplwa?
Jean Dominique interviews Pierre-Marie Boisson and Claude Pierre-Louis of the Sogebank Group about their foray into housing, with the creation of SOGEBEL (Société Générale Haïtienne de Banque d'Épargne et de Logement, S.A.). They discuss housing problems in Port-au-Prince, including squatterization. Among other questions, Dominique asks what the implications of the private sector taking over public services like housing, as Haiti increasingly adopts the neoliberal agenda. They also discuss the question of credit -- as Sogebank enters the housing sector, which is tied to many other social problems such as unemployment, what is is the Sogebank Group doing to support job creation?
