Jean Dominique entèvyouve Chavannes Jean-Baptiste, lidè Mouvman Peyizan Papay ki vin mare sosis li avèk OPL. Yo pale refòm agrè, kote yo mete aksan sou dwa teryen ak kredi riral. Dapre Jean-Baptiste, lè peyizan yo pa rele yo chè mèt/chè metrès, lè yo nan sistèm demwatye, yo pa gen okenn enterè pou yo konsève tè a, plante pyebwa, oubyen anpeche ewozyon vale tè a. Kout ponya ap dekapitalize ti peyizan yo sistematikman.
Jean Dominique interviews Chavannes Jean-Baptiste, the leader of the Mouvman Peyizan Papay who has now aligned himself with OPL. They discuss agrarian reform, focusing on land rights and rural credit. According to Jean-Baptiste, when peasant farmers do not own their own land and are instead sharecropping, they do not have any interest in maintaining the land, planting trees, or preventing erosion. Predatory money-lending means that peasant farmers are systematically stripped of capital. They also discuss Jean-Baptiste's alignment with OPL, his shifting relationship with René Préval (whom he refers to at times as "President Préval" and at other times as "Ti René"), and conflict within the Lavalas movement.
