Jean Dominique interviews Charles Suffrard, member of the INARA oversight committee, and Robert Antoine, the mayor of Verrettes, about the second phase of the agrarian reform project, which will include further land redistribution and irrigation. They discuss in particular the rice harvest and the rice market, and how the agrarian reform experiment might be expanded to other departments beyond the Artibonite (particularly to the Nord-Ouest) -- according to Suffrard, it has to be peasant farmers in solidarity with their fellow peasant farmers. They also discuss different forms of political opposition to agrarian reform.
