  • Syto Cavé, Claude Innocent, and Rassoul Labuchin describe their difficulties with the Ministry of Culture in trying to put on Innocent's play, "Ce fou d'empereur." They secured aid from the French government to put on the play, but the Ministry of Culture -- specifically Minister of Culture Raoul Peck speaking through his chief of cabinet, Mr. Clesca -- refused to meet with them, which was necessary to authorize the French funds. Innocent's play is not the only artistic creation to be blocked by the Ministry of Culture.
