They characterize TKL as an organization dedicated to liberation theology and justice for the poor. TKL is neither a political party nor a political organization, though they have a long shared history with Jean-Bertrand Aristide. They describe continued problems facing Haiti's poor after the return of constitutional order, including poverty, the rising cost of living, unemployment, and a lack of justice (particularly for victims of the coup years). They discuss as well divisions between the liberation theology wing of the Catholic Church and the traditional Church hierarchy. They declare that people who participate in violence and create insecurity are against TKL's mission. Dominique asks if Lavalas, since coming to power, has forgotten that is is supposed to serve the people.

Ce ne sont ni un parti, ni une organisation politique, même si elles ont une longue histoire avec Jean-Bertrand Aristide. Ils décrivent les problèmes que les pauvres continuent à affronter après le retour à l’ordre constitutionnel : misère, chomage, inflation, absence de justice (surtout pour les victimes du coup d’état). Ils parlent aussi de la distance, au sein de l’église catholique, entre la théologie de la libération et la hiérarchie traditionnnelle. Ils déclarent que les gens qui créent la violence et l’insécurité sont contre la mission des TKL. Dominique leur demande si Lavalas, depuis son arrivée au pouvoir, a oublié qu’il est au service du peuple.
