Ginette Chérubin, Minister of the Status of Women and Women's Rights (Ministre à la Condition Féminine et aux Droits des Femmes) discusses her perspective on feminism and the Ministry's work promoting women's rights, particularly regarding credit for street vendors, madan sara, and women farmers. She describes the importance of incorporating women into the agrarian reform program, and of ensuring that women have access to additional agricultural credit. She also discusses the Ministry's relationship with women's rights groups. Women's autonomy and liberation is of fundamental importance to Haiti's economic and social progress.
Ginette Chérubin, ministre à la Condition Féminine et aux Droits des Femmes, partage sa perspective sur le féminisme et explique le travail du ministère pour promouvoir les droits des femmes, particulièrement l'accès au crédit pour les vendeuses de rue, les madan sara et les agricultrices. Elle explique pourquoi il est important d'incorporer les femmes dans le programme de réforme agraire et d'assurer que les femmes aient accès à un crédit agricole plus important. Elle aborde aussi les relations entre le ministère et les associations féministes. L'autonomie et la libération des femmes sont d'une importance capitale pour le progrès social et économique en Haïti.
