According to the guests, the media focus on OPs that are all talk and no action, rather than reporting on accomplishments like the Croix-des-Bossales road. Recent strikes are complicated by the fact that many people did not come to work because of threats and intimidation. They describe life in the quartier populaire La Saline, where insecurity is a problem but the OPs also serve as a secuity lookout for the population, as well as cooperatives, literacy, and health projects that RPCS has undertaken. Fleuridor, Désir, and Thomas describe their organization's relationship with President René Préval, and divisions within the Lavalas movement and the fracturing of Lavalas into multiple political parties. "We are all one family, we can all eat at the same table," says one of the guests. "But they've broken the table," replies Dominique. According to the guests, Duvalierists can also reenter the political arena if they do so as a formal political party.
