  • Jean Dominique interviews Pierre Jolissaint from Belle-Fontaine and Romère Boursiquot from Belladère, two rural farmers who started a foundation for the development of early education and civic education, the Projet de la Fondation Education de Base. Jolissaint and Boursiquot explain their goal to bring together the peasant, public, and private sectors to collaborate with the foundation. They discuss the importance of civic education for eliminating prejudice between the peasant and bourgeois classes. Minister of Agriculture David Nicolas discusses different donors who could help the project, such as the International Monetary Fund.
