Jean Dominique interviews senator of Grand'Anse Maxime Roumer, who has been in the senate for seven months, to summarize parliament's plans thus far. Roumer explains what the role of a senator should be and he discusses the importance of a law on regional authorities that is being discussed in parliament. He and Dominique discuss modernization of public enterprises as a condition of the international community to give Haiti aid. Roumer discusses KOREGA as an organization of resistance initially, but states that now is the time to build in addition to resisting.
Jean Dominique demande au sénateur Maxime Roumer de faire un bilan du travail du Parlement, sept mois après son arrivée dans l’institution. Roumer explique quel rôle un sénateur devrait jouer et il parle de l’importance de la loi sur les collectivités territoriales qui est discutée au Parlement. Discussion sur la modernisation des entreprises publiques, qui est une des conditions de la communauté internationale pour qu’Haïti obtienne de l’aide. Roumer parle du KOREGA, à l’origine une organisation de résistance au coup d’état mais qui, tout en continuant la résistance, doit maintenant se construire.
