Jean Dominique entèvyouve Jacques Édouard Alexis, minis edikasyon nasyonal, sou egzamen leta ki sot pase yo. Te gen pwoblèm ak egzamen bakaloreya a, men Alexis di malgre sa egzamen yo te byen pase epi ministè a ap fè koreksyon pou elèv yo ka jwenn rezilta yo avan mwa out. Li pale sou difikilte pou ministè a mete lajan nan lekòl yo, epi pwoblèm anplwaye edikasyon nasyonal ki pwofite sou lajan k ap pase pandan sezon egzamen an pou yo fè "rekòt" lajan pou bezwen pèsonèl yo sou do leta. Edikasyon popilasyon an ta dwe yon priyorite pou yon demokrasi. Li denonse rimè ke li pral privatize sistèm edikasyon peyi a.
Jean Dominique interviews Jacques Édouard Alexis, minister of education, on recent state examinations. There were issues with the baccalaureate examination, but Alexis states that the exams went well despite this, and that the ministry will make necessary corrections to release scores by August. He discusses difficulties the ministry has faced to fund schools, and employees of the national education system who pocket government money that was supposed to be spent on exams. Alexis thinks a solution to this would be decentralization so that each region can control and provide for its own education needs. Dominique blames the Duvalierist and Macoute legacy for planting this disease of corruption in the Haitian government. Another problem according to Alexis is that school-aged children are not attending school. Education should be the priority of a democracy. He denounces rumors that he plans to privatize the national education system.
