  • Jean Dominique speaks with two representatives from the Savoie department in France, Jean Fressoz and Jean-Paul Gaudin. Fressoz is the mayor of a commune called Cognin. Savoie has been for some time in a partnership with the commune of Marchand-Dessalines. This partnership means that their development projects are designed together with the local authorities and grassroots groups in Dessalines. They also discuss local government and decentralization in the French context.
