  • Father Pedro Ruquoy discusses the story of Easter and the life of Jesus. It is an emancipatory story, a story of resistance, and Jesus's message was political and radical. Ruquoy and Jean Dominique draw parallels between this revolutionary story and popular resistance in Haiti. Ruquoy describes the possibility of using liberation theology to combat antihaitianismo in the Dominican Republic, and they discuss the candidacy of José Francisco Peña Gómez.
