  • Le 3 avril 1986, les femmes de Port-au-Prince ont envahi les rues pour célébrer la fin de la dictature des Duvalier. à ce moment-là, il y avait un vrai espoir que la condition des femmes changerait au niveau économique, social et politique, et qu’une nouvelle époque commençait pour les droits des femmes. à l’occasion du 10ème anniversaire du 3 avril, Radio Haïti-Inter parle avec deux militantes féministes ; Myriam Merlet (ancienne chef d’équipe du Ministère pour la Condition Féminine et les Droits des Femmes et fondatrice d’ENFOFANM qui est décédée lors du tremblement de terre du 12 janvier 2010) et Danièle Magloire (qui faisait partie de CONAP et d’ENFOFANM). Elles parlent de ce que le 3 avril représente pour les femmes haïtiennes, de la représentation des femmes dans le gouvernement et le secteur économique, du rôle des ONG et du Ministère.   • On April 3, 1986, the women of Port-au-Prince took to the streets to celebrate the fall of the Duvalier dictatorship, hoping for a change in women’s economic, social, and political status and a new era in women’s rights. On the tenth anniversary of this event, Radio Haiti speaks with women’s activists Myriam Merlet (the former chief of staff of the Ministry of Women’s affairs and the founder of ENFOFANM, who died in the January 12, 2010 earthquake) and Danièle Magloire (of CONAP and ENFOFANM). They discuss what April 3 represents, women’s representation in government and in the economic sector, the role of NGOs in women’s issues, and the role of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Rights (Ministère à la Condition Féminine et aux Droits des Femmes).
