  • Jacques Dorcean, Minister of Public Works, Transport, and Communication (Ministère des Travaux Publics, Transports et Communications, MTPTC), summarizes the efforts of the MTPTC for the past 100 days since he took his position. Dorcean discusses how he helped keep the European Union accountable for their plan to help fund the MTPTC's plans to improve roads to Port-au-Prince. He talks in detail about improving the road to Carrefour. Dorcean addresses his plans to encourage the new administration to improve infrastructure nationwide, especially in the Artibonite and Grand'Anse, areas that lack electricity and irrigation. They discuss the problem of trash in the streets and the role of MTPTC in clearing waste, and of working with CONATEL to establish new telecommunications regulations. Interview by Jean Dominique.

Dorcéan explique qu’avec le MTPTC, il s’était assuré que l’Union Européenne tienne sa promesse de financer les routes menant à Port-au-Prince. Il parle en détail du plan du ministère pour la réfection de la route de Carrefour. Dorcéan déclare qu’il a encouragé le nouveau gouvernement à planifier le développement des infrastructures du pays, particulièrement dans l’Artibonite et la Grande Anse, deux régions privées d’électricité et d’irrigation. Discussion sur le problème des détritus dans les rues et le rôle du MTPTC dans le ramassage des détritus.
