Yo pale sou kesyon lavichè, lefèt ke leta pa ka rezoud pwoblèm lavichè pou kont li, san boujwa yo pa konprann ke pwòp enterè pa yo mache ansanm ak enterè tout peyi a.
Prime Minister Claudette Werleigh discusses the FBI's role in the investigation into the assassination of Mireille Durocher Bertin, and their implication of government officials in the crime. The Haitian government views the FBI's involvement as one of cooperation, but insists that the Ministry of Justice is leading the investigation and the FBI must respect Haitian law. The government also asks that the FBI investigate other high-profile assassinations such as Antoine Izméry and Jean-Marie Vincent. Mme. Werleigh also discusses what the transitional government has accomplished in her short time in office, including making sure that all official communication is in Haitian Creole as well as French, and public administration reform. Jean Dominique speaks of Mme. Werleigh's longstanding commitment to the poor, and wonders if and how she can continue that commitment within the state apparatus. They discuss the privatization of state-owned companies, and the role of the international community, and the power of international aid, in enforcing privatization. They also discuss inflation, and the state's inability to singlehandedly resolve the problem of "lavichè" without the rich and powerful understanding their own interests are tied up with the interests of the whole nation.
