Le nouveau maire de Milot Moïse Jean-Charles, du parti Lavalas, parle de son programme pour la ville et des problèmes actuels de Milot. D'après lui, bien que la Citadelle Laferrière et le palais Sans-Souci soient des destinations très populaires dans le pays, les habitants ne bénéficient pas du tourisme. Il parle également des droits des paysans et des conflits de propriété terrienne, de la réforme agraire, de la question de la production nationale, de la privatisation, de l'impact du coup d'État et de l'armée sur Milot, des tensions avec la police et de la possibilité pour les élus de représenter loyalement les intérêts du peuple.
Newly appointed mayor of Milot Moïse Jean-Charles of the Lavalas party discusses his plans for Milot and the problems facing the town. He explains that the people of Milot are not benefiting from the tourist industry (the Citadelle and Sans-Souci Palace). He speaks of peasant rights and land conflict, agrarian reform, the question of national production, privatization, the impact of the coup years and the army in Milot, the question of what to do with the Casernes Milot, conflict with the police, and the ability of elected officials to truly represent the people's interests.
