Pè William Smarth, Pè Jean-Marie Vincent, Pè Antoine Adrien, ak Pè Jean-Bertrand Aristide, 4 prèt ki preche teyoloji liberasyon, dekri jan yon bann nèg ame atake yo devan barikad tou prè pòs lame Freycineau, 23 out 1987. Se te yon atak byen planifye. Yo pale sou lame kap fè vyolans sou mouvman demokratik la nan sezon pre-elektoral la, Etazini ki mele nan zafè politik an Ayiti, ak akizasyon ki fèt sou patizan teyoloji liberasyon (moun Ti Legliz yo) an ki di se kominis yo ye. Yo pale tou sou relasyon ant gwo otorite legliz katolik la (sitou Monseyè Gayot) ak mouvman Ti Legliz la.
Liberation theology priests William Smarth, Jean-Marie Vincent, Antoine Adrien, and Jean-Bertrand Aristide describe how they were attacked by armed gunmen at a roadblock near the army post in Freycineau on August 23, 1987. They discuss the army's violence against the democratic movement in the 1987 pre-election season and US involvement in Haitian politics, and continued targeting of proponents of liberation theology as so-called "communists." They speak of the relations between the Catholic church hierarchy (particularly Monsignor Gayot) and the "ti legliz" movement.
