Jean Dominique fè yon kritik sou premye volim TI DIFE BOULE SOU ISTWA AYITI, liv sou istwa Revolisyon Ayisyen Michel-Rolph Trouillot ekri an kreyòl ayisyen. Dominique pale sou wòl naratè a, ki rele Grenn Pwomennen, yon peyizan k ap bay lodyans avèk sitwayen ayisyen tankou l (nan tèks la, sitwayen sa yo reprezante pa pèsonaj ki rele Ti Jozèf, Lamèsi, ak Sedènye). Li pale tou sou konpleksite ak kontradiksyon Tousen Louvèti, neve li Moyiz, ak lòt lidè, ak sou tras Kòd Nwa kite sou sosyete ayisyen an. Se pa sèlman ke Trouillot ap rakonte yon istwa an kreyòl; se kreyolize l ap kreyolize metòd akademisyen konn anplwaye pou yo ekri istwa. Nan dènye moman emisyon an, Dominique kòmanse pale kreyòl pou bay "Wowo" (ki se non jwèt Trouillot) degi l: Dominique anonse se travay li, devwa li antanke jounalis radyo, pou fè tout ayisyen konprann istwa enpòtan Trouillot ekri a.
Jean Dominique reviews the first volume of Michel-Rolph Trouillot's Creole-language history of the Haitian Revolution, TI DIFE BOULE SOU ISTWA AYITI. Dominique discusses the role of the peasant narrator Grenn Pwomennen who speaks (bay lodyans) to ordinary Haitian citizens (represented in the text as characters such as "Ti Jozèf," "Lamèsi," and "Sedènye"), the complexities and contradictions of Toussaint Louverture, his nephew Moïse, and other leaders, and the legacy of the Code Noir. Trouillot is not only telling the story in Creole; he is creolizing the very methods of historiography. In the final moments of the broadcast, Dominique switches to Haitian Creole to give Trouillot (whom he addresses by his nickname, Wowo) his bonus ("degi"): Dominique announces that it is his duty, as a radio journalist, to make sure that every Haitian understands the important history that Trouillot has written.
