About the Digital Collection
These documents, written in French, concern the voyage of a French-owned brigantine "Les Bons Amis," which was stopped by both the English and French corsairs as it returned with a cargo of sugar from the West Indies to Cadiz. The papers include a list of the cargo brought from Europe and a report on the voyage written by the captain.
