Interview with Zeng Zhaoying

Zeng Shaoying has his won political opionions. He said that agricultural cooperation started in 1956. The anti-rightist campaign in 1957 was because there still many spies of Kuomintang, the government actually value intellectuals very much. During the 1958 great leap forward, trees in the villages werre almost all cut off to burn the iron furnace. The the three-year difficult period started in 1959 because China owed foreign debts. There were more than 100 people in Huangjuwo village, more than 60 people survved the famine. Deng Xiaoping started the reform and opening policy, which was good but people started to value money more than anything else. He said that peasants are realistic, as long as they have enough to eat, they will be contented.

曾昭英有自己的一套政治思维。他说56年开始农业合作化，57年的反右斗争是因为国民堂特务常搞破坏，国家其实很重视知识分子。58年大跃进时把村里的树木毁得狠。59年就进入了三年困难时期，因为国家要还外债。黄举窝差不多有百把人，等那三年一过，就只剩下六十多人了。到了邓小平手上，改革开放是好，但变得一切都向钱看。他认为农民就是个现实主义者，只要把吃的问题解决了，他就不会想着想那了。
