Song Qiuying (b. 1928) was born in Zoujia Village, Shangdian Town, Binzhou City, Shandong Province. During the Great Famine, many of Song's family members (including her father and son) died of starvation. She is one of the interviewees in the documentary The Starving Village (2010) by Zou Xueping. In this interview, Song describes the days before the death of her 11-year-old son.
宋秋英1928年出生于山东省滨州市阳信县商店镇邹家村。大饥荒期间,宋老人的许多家人(包括父亲和儿子)都饿死了。 她也是邹雪平的纪录片《饥饿的村子》(2010)中被采访的人之一。 在这段口述中,宋老人描述了她11岁的大儿子临死前的生活。
