Interview with Shu Jiaqing

Shu Jiaqing (b. 1934) is a resident of Diaoyutai Village, Yindian Town, Suizhou City, Hubei Province, and now lives alone in a shabby house. Her husband, the company commander in Minyue Production Team, passed away more than a decade ago. In this interview, Shu recalls the day when her neighbor He Kaiguo hung himself to death due to starvation during the Great Famine. She also describes the experience of confiscation of family possessions during the Four Cleanups Movement.

蜀家清（1934年生）是湖北省随州市殷店镇钓鱼台村村民, 现在一个人住在简陋的小屋里。她的老伴（民跃大队的连长）十多年前去世了。在这段口述中, 蜀老人回忆了大饥荒期间她的邻居何开国因为饥饿上吊自杀当天的情况。随后她还描述了四清运动中一家人被抄家的经历。
