Interview with Peng Gongying

Peng Gongying (b. 1938) is a resident of Wangjiayan Village, Baiyun Town, Shimen County, Hunan Province. In 1957 Peng married Wang Jisheng, who was the leader of Wangjiangyan Village. In this interview, Peng recalls how Zhao, the production team leader, beat a villager for stealing rice from the people’s commune canteen.

彭功英（1938年）是湖南省石门县白云乡王家堰村村民。彭老人1957年嫁到王家堰村，丈夫曾——王吉生——曾担任村支书。在这段口述中，彭老人讲述了生产队队长——赵＊＊——毒打一个偷食堂的米的村民的情况。
