Ou Renji (b. 1937) is a resident of Jimingqiao Village, Baiyun Town, Shimen County, Hunan Province. In this interview, Ou recalls how he went to dig fern roots in mountains because his family were starving after the people’s commune canteen was established, and how many people were criticized during that period.
欧仁基(1937年生)是湖南省石门县白云乡鸡鸣桥村村民。在这段口述中,欧老人回忆了兴办食堂时期全家吃不饱,欧老人上山挖厥根的故事,以及当时整人批斗风盛行的情况。
