Luo Suxia (b.1924) is a resident of Qujia Village, Yuqiao Town, Jingyang County, Shaanxi Province. In this interview, Luo remembers life during the Great Famine. With four or five children in the family, they had neither enough work forces nor enough to eat. Her husband and she worked from day to night at the agricultural cooperative, often too starved to even walk.
