Interview with Lin Lan

Liu Lan (b.1927) recollects that in 1958 they ate in commue canteen and worked on the backyard furnace. People were hungry and ate tree leaves and wild vegetables. Her legs suffered greatly from edema.

刘兰，1927年生。刘老人回忆1958年大炼钢铁和吃食堂。人们饿得吃树叶和野菜，她的腿极度浮肿。
