Liao Jinger (b.1946) is a resident of Caojia Village, Hengyang County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province. In this interview, Liao remembers life during the Great Famine. In the production team of 80 people, 27 starved to death. In 1960, his father also died at the age of 36. Most workforce in the team were cadres and had meetings everyday, only a few people stayed to work.
廖镜二1946年出生,是湖南省衡阳市衡阳县长安乡曹家村的村民。 在这段口述中,廖老人回忆了大饥荒时期的生活。总共80几人的生产队就饿死了27人。他的父亲1960年也饿死了,当时只有36岁。队里的劳动力大多数是干部,每天开会,只留下几个人干活。
