Interview with Huang Yuxiang

Huang Yuqiang (b.1931) is a resident of Zhaixia Village, Pengzhai Town, Heping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. Huang was born in Shangtongkeng. He was the only child at home but his parents, because of poverty, sold him to a landlord in Tangwu. Later he was sold to Jiangxi. After being classified as a landlord and deprived of properties, Huang was banished to Zhaixia Village and stayed watched for the next twenty-five years. He was denounced day and night and paraded in the village. He got no subsidies after being vindicated in 1978. Huang also remembers that he got the worst field and no other properties; he only carried sedan chairs and ploughed field to earn a scanty income.

黄雨强（1931年生）是广东省河源市和平县彭寨镇寨下村村民。老人出生于上桐坑，是家里独子，但由于家庭困难被父母卖到了塘屋一户地主家，后来地主家又把自己卖到了江西。老人被划成地主没收财产后，就被土改队发配来寨下村，被管制了二十五年。他被日夜批斗，游街游村，1978年平反后的补贴也没拿到。老人还回忆了被分到最差的田地，一无所有，只能扛轿子、耕田换取微薄收入。
