Guo Que (b.1929) is a resident of Daguo Village, Linying County, Luohe City, Henan Province. Guo Que recalled the Famine happened in 1942 and 1958. During the Great Leap Forward in 1958, Guo and her fellow villagers had to lots of physical labors like digging farm pools and buring human feces in the fields as fertilizer at night. At the commue canteen, small amount of Sorghum flour and wild vegetables were their main food., yet they told representativres from higher-ups that they were eating steamed buns every day.
郭缺(1929年生)是河南省临颍县大郭乡大郭村村民。郭老人回忆了1942年和1958年的大饥荒。58年时,她和村民们被叫去挖坑塘,深夜挑粪等重活。村里吃食堂期间,少量的秫黍(高粱)面和野菜是主要的食物,上级检查时说整天吃蒸馍。
