Interview with Dai Bi'e

Dai Bi’e (b.1943) is a resident of Gongzhan Cillage, Maotou Town, Nan’an City, Fujian Province. In this interview, Dai remembers life during the Great Family. In 1960, she got married at 18 years old and moved here, after which she still went to school for two or three years. She clearly recalls what people ate at the school’s communal dining hall and at home.

戴碧娥1943年出生，是福建省南安市码头镇宫占村的村民。在这段口述中，戴老人回忆了大饥荒时期的生活。1960年，18岁的她结婚嫁到这里，之后还读了两三年的书。她清楚地记得在学校的集体食堂和家里吃了什么。
