- Ronnie Cuber (b 1941) was born in New York, NY. An alto saxophonist, Cuber took part in jam sessions with Chick Corea and others from 1963-64. In this oral history, Cuber discusses the culture of the Jazz Loft and its frequent visitors including Chick Corea, Henry Grimes, Lin Halliday, and Walter Davis. Cuber also talks briefly about his musical background playing in the Newport Youth Band, sitting in with Charlie Mingus at Birdland, and being a member of Maynard Ferguson's band.
